Starting courier work is expensive — especially if you are new. At WE-COLLECT, we want fresh talent as well as experienced couriers, which means we help remove barriers to entry.

This page explains what equipment matters, what standards we aim for, and how we can support couriers who need help getting started — including e-bike options.

1. The Basics: What You Need to Deliver Safely

We keep expectations practical. You do not need a perfect setup on day one, but you do need to take safety seriously.

• A reliable bike, e-bike, scooter, motorbike, or car.
• A secure phone mount and charging method.
• Helmet and lights (especially during darker hours).
• Weather protection where possible (gloves, waterproofs).

2. Delivery Bags: Clean, Secure, and Built for Food

Food delivery bags need to protect food — and protect you.

We promote:

• Clean, insulated bags that keep food stable.
• Secure zips and internal structure to stop tipping.
• Equipment that is easy to wipe down and maintain.
• No messy drink spills that ruin bags and waste time.

3. Our Rule on Drinks and Spills

Spills cost couriers time and money — and can destroy a bag. Most platforms ignore this.

WE-COLLECT bans unsafe drink packaging:

• No open drinks.
• No weak lids.
• No “hope for the best” cups.
• Only properly secured, transport-safe packaging.

4. E-Bike Assistance for New or Aspiring Couriers

If you do not have the right vehicle yet, that does not automatically exclude you. We want to help people who are motivated, reliable, and want to do courier work properly.

If you are starting with a push bike or you currently have no vehicle, you can request information about e-bike options through the courier application form.
